Bulgarian Mountains

    Lenght: 14,5 km.      Time: 4-5 h.      Difficulty: Easy.

      Peak Stanovski rat is the highest point of a large part of Stara Planina situated southwest.  The most convenient starting and ending point for the trip is the village of Zelyava.  We climbed along the east ridge on asphalt road reaching to a memorial monument. From there to the top continues a dirt road. At one point we came upon an interesting birdhouse made with a lot of affection.
Weather was not good and we stayed at the summit only for short.

    The way back was along the steep road parallel to a gas pipeline. After fork 20 continued along a valley of the river forming multiple meanders and we had to cross from one bank to the other 7 times.
